Stanley Shih, DDS, General Dentist
Dr. Stanley Shih’s practice focuses on the improvement and maintenance of his patients’ oral health. He takes a particular interest in preserving and restoring the function and form of his patients’ smiles. To this end, he focuses on strategies to prevent dental disease and stays abreast of current technologies to help diagnose, educate, and treat his patients. Dr. Shih is a proponent of the latest CAD/CAM technologies, which confer fine aesthetics in addition to strength, durability, and precision to benefit the patient’s oral health and function. He has been in practice in the NYC area for over ten years and is proud to provide quality care for his patients.
Dr. Stan Shih is a general dentist who graduated from the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 2003. He also holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in biochemistry from the University at Buffalo. He completed his general practice residency at Long Island College Hospital (Brooklyn Heights, NY) in 2004. Dr. Stan Shih has practiced as an associate in the New York metropolitan area and has served as the Dental Director at Heritage Health Care Center in New York City. He is presently a consulting attending for Lutheran Medical Center’s AEGD program, which trains future dentists. Dr. Stan Shih resided in Pittsburgh, Orlando, and Albany (NY) before attending the University at Buffalo, where he received his bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, and Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. He was strongly influenced by his late father (a mechanical engineer), his mother (a former fashion designer), and family dentists (Dr. Juan Amaya and Dr. Bettina Pels-Wetzel) who provided him with expert and compassionate dental care.
Dr. Stan Shih’s spare time is entirely consumed by cooking, playing with his kids, pondering global economics, and wrestling with computer problems – sometimes simultaneously. He also enjoys camping and hiking, and is a football (Pittsburgh Steelers) and soccer (NY Red Bulls) fan.

Amy Shih, DDS, Prosthodontist
Dr. Amy Shih graduated from the Masters School (Dobbs Ferry, NY) and then studied Comparative Literature and Studio Art at Binghamton University before heading to Buffalo, NY, for her dental education. She graduated from University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 2003. Dr. Amy Shih completed her general residency program at Nassau University Medical Center (East Meadow, NY) where she served as chief dental resident. Her interest in dental aesthetics and prosthetic techniques relating to implants and dentures led her to continue her training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. There she completed her post-doctoral certification in prosthodontics in 2008. Since then, Dr. Amy Shih has been working in private practice and is grateful to have the opportunity to practice dentistry where she is originally from. She is the mother to two children. In her spare time, she loves making art.
